Fellaini is playing incredibly well and looks really comfortable in that deep midfield role.

Martial is frustrating, he has so much talent yet he so often seems to be going at half-pace. If he just worked harder he'd be much more threatening.

And Blind has been excellent again. Jose's got a difficult decision ahead of him when Smalling returns.

But I feel like the only reason why he can do that is because his defensive duties are being covered very well by Fellaini and Pogba (the latter has made several key interceptions).

Also, just the pure amount of control that Pogba gives in the center really allows Mata to roam and be creative.

Martial is really leaving Luke Shaw open. Pogba is having to help out when Shaw is overloaded with both the full back and the winger, but that is really Martial's job.

Maybe you're right that it's Mou's instructions. But we are definitely getting a bit overloaded on the left side and they almost scored from that cross. It seem's unlikely, from what we know from Mou, that he would want his winger not to help out much defensively. Martial really seems to be playing at half-pace, in both attack and defense. Not to slate on him, cause I love the guy, but perhaps he is a bit jaded and needs a rest (in FM terms).

There are plenty of rumors flying about that Mata and mourinho aren't the best of fits and that Mata is on his way out. He evidently shares that opinion

So Rooneys who's hardly put a foot wrong and made some great runs is still getting hate from idiots who don't mention anything about Zlatan who just had the type of half Rooney is constantly shit on for. Poor touch, slowing down play, misplaced passes, holding onto the ball for too long especially after that one touch Mata lobbed pass where Rooney made that excellent run and had like 2 meters on his marker.

Its not Zlatan's game though, I don't think he'll ever be remembered for his passing ability. His positional sense, and finishing consistency is phenomenal though. Rooney lacks for consistency in all three.

Fellaini has had an excellent game thus far. I think Zlatan hasn't been at his best tonight, he has given away the ball a few times but he has scored and played well in the build up to attacks.

Martial has been pretty bad, we're giving a lot of shit to Rooney but Martial has been the worst player on the pitch and I'd bring Young or Miki on for him, though maybe 10 minutes in.

Pogba has been good and everyone else has been solid. Bailly deserves a lot of credit.

Wazza has been a lot better than the last few games, still a lot of backwards passing but he has gotten an assist and won a lot of throw ins and the like.
