I think that Jose has kept Lingard and Memphis out of this game because he intends to exploit our attacking spine more so than the wings, I expect we'll play through the middle mostly, hence Mata starting and Martial. They both like to drift in, Young as a sub indicates that if we do sub a winger, it'll most likely be when we're up a goal or two as a defensive option.

Rooney shouldn't start for us again, now that I've got that out of the way since it's going to get spammed constantly throughout this match thread tonight.

I'm a little worried about the midfield, but I figure Rooney is probably going to sit in and allow Pogba to get forward, and they're probably going to swap positions at times.

Would love to see Mkhitaryan get an opportunity but I believe in Mourinho and he probably doesn't think he is ready yet, as long as he gets at least some playing time in the 2nd half to make a difference.

I can see people saying that Mourinho has decided on this Bailly and Blind partnership but Smalling is going to replace Blind once he his fitness improves, Blind isn't a Mourinho type defender.

I think Smalling will go up another level when partnered with Bailly, and our back 4 would have so much pace, it would be ridiculous.

I predict Zlatan is going to get 2 and Pogba is going to score a screamer, I think it's going to end up being 3-1.

Whatever happens people are going to shit on Pogba and call him overrated unless he produces Messi / Ronaldo numbers which is absurd for a midfielder.

I think the reason why Mourinho favors Fellaini so much is mostly because of his physicality (very similar to Matic from Chelsea). I can definitely see him starting more in future matches.
