Juno has potential to be this great story but the dialogue could be culled a LOT. I feel like I could go through the script and cut out so much of Juno's remarks and make it tighter and much more likable. I understand that she's supposed to be kind of a bitch sometimes, but enough with the stupid crap that no teenager would ever say.

Just in the first act alone: "This is one doodle that can't be undid, home skillet." - Come on. "For shizz up the spout." "Honest to blog." "Phuket, Thailand." "Morgan Freeman/Bone Collector" which isn't even a correct reference. "I'm on my hamburger phone." We can see it, just let us notice it.

Further along, "Thundercats are GO!" isn't even a thing.

Her little remarks to Jason Bateman's character are very good and telling, "She gives you a whole room for your stuff" and "What would the Melvins say" make us see why Mark is not ready for fatherhood and is very scared of being an old sellout.

However, even though Juno may not know that Mark has definitely heard of Mott the Hoople because everyone has, there is no way he danced to that song at a 1987 prom. No way.

I'm not sure why Su-Chin is saying, "All babies want to get borned." which makes her sound mentally deficient. And of course Juno jumped into a fountain and forgot about it. She's so wacky.

And what is Paulie talking about with "donut that flick with the guy who has 18 kids?" Who throws donut holes at a movie screen? Is that a thing?

Making Juno herself about 100x less quirky while keeping her sarcastic lines and poignant remarks would have worked so much better.
