Realistically?

You can't. Tourists are such a huge part of the OT attendance these days that you can't simulate the atmosphere that you get in away sections or cup knockout crowds.

That comes as part of being one of the biggest clubs in the world I'm afraid.

Not everyone is a tourist. We have 75000 inside the ground if we somehow get 10000 to sing simultaneously the atmosphere will change drastically. That 'somehow' is what we have to find.

I respectfully disagree, many times I've been almost completely surrounded by tourists or day trippers who don't know the chants.

It's also difficult to join in with chants from other areas of the stadium because they're so far away it's all out of time.

Yeah I understand. The whole point of my post is to how can we make the most, if not whole, crowd sing one thing rather than everybody singing different

Was that in the North Stand? Last game I went to in that stand it was awkwardly silent. I even had a guy tell me not to stand up when we came close because he couldn't see, I was gobsmacked.

Sorry I disagree, Everytime I go I am SURROUNDED by tourists and day trippers, there is tons and its because of our clubs global commercial ground. Its not a bad thing but I have been laughed at by a few Spanish and Asian tourists for chanting.

Create a dedicated 'singing' section, required to have had a season ticket for 3+ years already.

Dedicate SAF Stand T3 to member tickets only.

I think its little bit with culture too, Germans and Turkish people i have seen enjoying and celebrating massively for each goals, atmosphere at dortmund and bayern is great just like International, colourful and loud, and players also very expressive in their celebrations. Germans clubs away support in UCL also very louad and colorful. They always light up the FInals. We have some amazing electric atmospheres at OT over the history, like Ronny's rerturn SAF final game etc.

Yeah but we should not need a special occasion to be loud. Also there are plenty of great atmosphere's in the UK mate, it's not a culture thing.

yeah, tbh our performance level was not that great hopefully this season the optimism is high so atmosphere will be better,we supported LVG too despite of all borredom, remember "Louis Van Gaal Army" hehehe

Yeah I hope your right. I like how you approach your comments too very mature. Look at what people are writing to me, people so butthurt and toxic only focusing on me mentioning Liverpool's atmosphere, we have a very spoiled bunch of stupid fans at times.

Ah you are welcome, that's very stupid for us to treat our fellow reds like that, we have to take care of each other cz, We are United :)

Is some of it not due to the size of OT? Like the design doesn't help like some other stadiums would. The acoustics of the stadium don't work well to make it seem loud, if that makes sense

Our atmosphere compared to a lot of big clubs is second rate. Celtic, Liverpool, Barca, Real, Bayern, Dortmun, Atleti, Juve even the main Turkish teams to name a few all have absolutely electric atmosphere's. We lack that totally, well sorry, on occasion we do ourselves proud.

We don't need representatives we don't need a meeting. If a fan goes to a match and doesn't know to go there and sing and shout their hearts out then what are they doing there? Yes some people like to be quiet during a game to focus on it, but singing doesn't take away from watching the game. In fact it is easily my favourite part of going to OT.

You are there for 90mins - 2 hours. The players don't need fans intently watching them in silence, the players need the fans to drive them on and if you go to OT then it should be your duty to give the players that, to drown out the opposition fans and unnerve the opposition players.

The problem for us unfortunately is that too many of our fans don't understand that.

Generally I agree with the statement, but Barca, Real and Liverpool's atmospheres aren't that good. Especially Liverpool's, it's only half decent when they sing YNWA, even then it's only like twice a game.

Haven't been to either yet but does the Nou Camp and Bernabeu really have that good of an atmosphere?

Watching their games, it seems to be them waiting for the team to do something that they can cheer for and in the case of Real, they can be toxic to their own players.

I've been to the Bernabeu, atmosphere was mostly non existent although the match was against Deportivo so you can't expect too much.

Well on a whole they are a lot louder yes, a lot different and better than us. But it is hard to have their stadiums loud when they beat everyone so easy, except big games.

Yeah Real's toxicity still doesn't take away from atmosphere. Sometimes they do apply bad pressure.

But the problem is coordination too. Too many different people in different sections singing different songs. There needs to be a way to coordinate the singing. Maybe a leader in each section with a wakie takie allowed with clubs permission who can coordinate with people in other sections as to what song is to be sung etc

Old Trafford is just like that, the acoustics aren't very good. The singing section will be shouting about one thing and the Stretford End would be shouting about another. The only way to improve the atmosphere, without telling day trippers to stay home would be to improve the acoustics within the stadium and making sure chants reverberate round the stadium well.

Come on man that is such an embarressment. Do you imagine what other fans would say, seriously? Celtic doesn't have a co-ordinated crowd either do Liverpool, the Milan's, no one. The problem again is this, the fact that people have to ask how we make it better.

For all those who are lost - just listen to the Stretford end and follow.

The j-stands sings one thing, the stretty something else. Anfield atmosphere is only good when they sign ynwa otherwise its a funeral home.

It isn't hard to get everyone signing the same thing. Jesus other stadiums do it. Wise up Anfield has a great atmosphere. They far exceed ours.

Don't just be biased

Im not being biased. I see whats on tv like everyone else and once have been to anfield. Other than start and the end the atmosphere is dogshit. Even Klopp called them out. And there's no need to argue. I just want our ot to be great again. If this is so easy to sing the same thing then why doesn't it happen?

But come on do you not see what I am saying? Other big singing clubs always sing the same songs. Celtic do it game in game out in an almost 70000 seater, if they can then why can't we?

Have you ever actually been to OT or Anfield? You keep saying everyone is biased but there's literally nothing biased about this. Go ask this question on the Liverpool sub and they'll all say the same thing (if there's anyone there). I have mates who are scum fans and they all say the same, they sing YNWA and the rest of the match you can hear a pin drop.

Sign Ronaldo.

there's another problem, we need big money players for the fans to sing.

Cheap tickets for under 25's. Usually the most vocal lads there.

Safe standing. More people = more noise and better atmosphere. It's been trialed at Celtic and has gone down quite well.

Last but not least: American-style choir sheets. Always welcome at any football match.

I should add realistically. Ticket prices will only go up and I can't see safe standing in near future. Hope celtics experiment goes well.

Cheap tickets for U-25 good idea: (loudest lads there, thats bullshit)

Safe Standing - some redemption here good idea.

Annnndd: OMG is he fucking for real, its a football stadium not a fucking chapel
