I dont know if I would call it a hobby but I do enjoy taking care of plants. A story that comes to mind is my mothers creeper. Year ao she had a creeper, but she didnt take good care of it; it was yellow an wilting in alot of places, and it was so small in the pot it was in. When I moved out I took it wih me. And my goodness it became a beautiful plant, it was a nice deep green, it was full and plentiful, its stocks were almost to the ground. Unfortunatly when I went away to Edmonton I couldnt bring it with me, my land lord had plants of her own and so I left it with her. She assured me that she would take good care of it.
That was three years ago and everyday I miss that plant. Never thought I could actually miss a plant. Anyways a few months ago, (around mid march early april) I decided o plant some Potatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, and Green Peppers, just for the hell of it. The peppers and Tomatoes have grown well, the Potatoes were a lost cause (last time I buy soil from Dollarama). This morning was I was watering the Tomatoes I noticed it has started to bare, there are about four tiny green tomatoes on the stocks. I gotta say, im kida proud of myself. Its not my creeper (which I still bitterly miss) but its something.
Any of you guys do any gardening? Any stories to share?
