It’s not like they read my feed beyond their mentions anyway.

After all, what they don’t know—they can’t blame me for.

Maybe instead I can just use this shiny new furnace to whip up some “Resistance in Hiding” style S’mores.

Well, they’re going to murder me if they ever figure out WHY the soldiers came after them.

And Laura and Carmilla are going to MURDER me.

This is such a mess. I just wanted to be useful. I didn’t mean for the soldiers to do any of this. Or end up all smelted down like the T1000

It looks like tears.

The pendant must have controlled them. So it burning told them to burn themselves alive. There’s tin seeping out of the vents now.

And then all the other soldiers just dropped Laura & Carmilla and started marching right in after.

So. The pendant fell into the furnace. And he did too.

I’ve spent the past day talking to you little soldier dude, you can’t just fling yourself into the furnace. I can’t lose you too!

He keeps trying to get into the furnace chamber where I put all the paper. Laura and Carmilla will be okay for a second, right?

I didn’t mean it like that!

Oh god. The pendant. It started beating when I said I wanted my friends back here. Safe and sound and out of trouble.

He’s taken the heart pendant now, & he’s hopping towards the furnace. Is he mad that I didn’t put it back on the shelf with him?

I think he’s trying to tell me something—so not the time! I need to keep this horde away from Laura and Carmilla.

But I think I’m going to have to. Meanwhile, my soldier friend keeps throwing the heart pendant onto the floor.

They won’t stop. They’re going after the books now. I don’t want to start burning books.

I have just thrown every possible piece of paper I could find in the hidden room into the furnace.
