They're either afraid of controversy, or they have a de facto policy of allowing extreme bigotry when the sub spewing it reaches a certain number of users because of ad revenue. It certainly explains why /r/TheRedPill has been up for four years (with it's 100,000+ subscribers), even though small subs with less bigotry have been quarantined and banned.
