Can we request this get made? Fellaini is obviously a very polarizing figure. I've seen both great and terrible from him. But if we're being honest, our impressions of a performance are always shaped by our biases and prior expectations.

If somebody could make a video showing all Fellaini touches for like 5-6 games, I think then we can make a fair objective judgment on the guy. Dude played out of his mind today.

To be fair, this has been Fellaini for the better part of 2 years.

He was shit in Moyes' year, had a resurgence in LVG's first, and poor in the first half of last season, but he quickly became one of our most important players towards the end of last season.

Fellaini is good at doing what he does, but it's no use asking him to do something he can't do. It's the same deal with Rooney, if you ask him to play with his back to goal and link 1-2's like Van Gaal asked he's going to be useless. If he's playing with his front to goal he'll probably get you goals and assists. Same with Fellaini, if you're asking him to man mark someone for 90 minutes, it probably won't work, but if you ask him to control the middle of the park, running around everywhere tackling everything he sees, and getting into the box for headers and 1 touch finishes, it will probably work.
