0' United are in our beautiful white kit today, while Bournemouth are in black and red.

0' UNITED KICK OFF! OUR FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE GAME OF THE SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

3' Rooney tries to win us a corner but Josh King manages to avoid the ball and it's rolled out for a goal kick. The subsequent Bournemouth attack results in a chance as Shaw miscontrols in the box and Wilson pounces but smashes the ball wide.

8' Both teams have had periods of possession but no major chances either way yet.

11' The ref awards a free kick for United and as the whistle is being blown, Bailly barges into a challenge and gets the ball but leaves King rolling. Nothing given. United still with the ball.

13' Valencia darts down the wing and floats in a beauty to the far post for Ibrahimovic who flies in and takes down two Bournemouth defenders by flying into the challenge. They're all back up and ready to go though.

19' Neither team has been getting good chances at goal yet. Wilson had a chance but he fouled Blind quite clearly in the build up so there was nothing to come from it.

23' Martial cuts inside from the left and tries to curl the ball into the far corner with one of our first shots of the game but his shot is well wide.

26' Rooney forces the first save of the game! Valencia is played through down the wing by Herrera, he pulls the ball back to the edge of the box to Mata who passes to Rooney but his low shot is well held by Boric.

28' Valencia wins our first corner and he's been dangerous down the right so far. Mata swings the ball in but it's straight into the hands of Boruc.

31' The momentum has swung back Bournemouth's way and they're doing more of the attacking now. There's hardly any space for either team to make something happen.

36' King makes the most of another challenge where he isn't touched by Ander Herrera and Marriner doesn't give anything again. It's getting annoying now. Bournemouth also had two players take a tumble in the box while their last free kick was being swung in and there was very little contact there. Come on...

39' MANCHESTER UNITED GOAL MATA SCORES! A MESS AT THE BACK FOR BOURNEMOUTH AS THE DEFENDER FEEDS MATA THROUGH! His initial shot is saved but it ricochets back to him and he sweeps it home from a yard out! NO PROBLEM!

45' No changes at half time as Bournemouth kick off.

47' According to the stats, we're losing this game 51-49. Mr. van Gaal would be incensed.

49' Bailly flies in enthusiastically again on King and once again King stays down. I'm sensing a trend.

50' Rooney is played through by Ibra and is one-on-one with Boruc but Boruc pulls out a great save from very close range. He closed the ball down well.

51' Rooney, Martial, and Ibra connect again and Rooney goes down in the box but nothing is given. It's a dive and there was minimal contact.

53' This game has warmed up a lot and chances for both sides now. Ibe with the latest for Bournemouth but it's a corner. We definitely need a second to create a cushion.
