his was a kid, yes a 17 year old, but still a kid.
Somehow I understood that hurting others had negative consequences(for myself and others) at 10 years old, somehow this abstract concept didn't take me till my late twenties to develop. Neither did this girl grow up among the hilltribes of afghanistan, she knew full well what went on and made her choice to support the murder of innocent people, directly.
i'd hardly call this a death to be celebrated.
Celebrating death is pointless, I'd agree with that since her individual death changes very little, but is it a good thing? Overall no one can deny that it was. ISIS is one murder enabling member shorter and it's a warning message to anyone wanting to join them.
So how about we all take responsibility for what we do? If you join a literal death cult, which sacrifices, rapes, tortures and enslaves innocent people, then yes you deserve to die.
I am not against second chances, but if you have to start debating whether someone who went above and beyond to join ISIS deserves to die, then we seriously deserve to have the caliphate take over.
