I'm so hyped about the Premier League being back that I've lost all interest in transfer rumours (for us and for other teams)

Still, that Blind to Inter rumour is interesting I guess (although super unlikely probably)

I feel like we still need a right back. Valencia's been okay for a few games but we can't forget how awful he was the vast majority of last season. Right back is the only position I'm not entirely comfortable with.

Need to add Januzaj to the out list.

I'm a fan of Milan so that would be alright.

Don't forget Januzaj on the out list. Be great to see some other players linked, just to have a reason to refresh all the time. But for the first time in quite a while, we're pretty well stocked.

Of course, if 1 or 2 fringe-players leave, I wouldn't mind us going after decent replacements/additions

Unrelated to the match but did anyone watch the Brighton vs Forest game? Oliver Burke for Forest looks like he could be some player, bags of pace too and almost reminded me of Bale in the sense that once he gets going nobody is catching him, apparently we've been watching him too.

Hard to remember a better transfer window than this one! If we can get rid of a bit of 'dead weight' and maybe make one or two more signings it would basically be like cheating on FM. In an ideal world Rooney, Fellaini and Rojo's time at MUFC would be over but that's probably wishing for too much, too soon.

Due to the suspensions of Pogba and Smalling I imagine the probable line up vs Bournemouth this weekend to be:

In my opinion, the longer we keep the blind faith in Rooney the worse we'll end up at the end of the season. He's back up (3rd choice) at best, in every position.

With Tim Fosu-Mensah supposedly agreeing a new 4-year deal at the club today I see 2016/17 being a huge year for the kid. I'm still a little unsure of his best position (CB/RB/DM) but his flexibility should be a huge positive and his great physical presence suits Mourinho to a T! Valencia deserves the RB position judging by his pre-season performances and we're still without a true 'Ball-Winning' DM, with Schneiderlin hopefully given a chance as more of a 'Box-to-Box' midfielder this year to get the best out of him.

Much of the remaining transfer talk now seems to be about an experienced CB (Fonte or Garay) but I personally feel a Matuidi type DM would have much more benefit unless a truly world class option becomes available. Bailly/Smalling looks good enough to me for now, with Tuanzebe an exciting prospect and backup option along side Blind who performed admirably last season... Then there's good old Jones, still young enough to improve, though this season might be his last chance.

Also, I think a younger 'Deep-Lying Playmaker' would be a better investment. Someone who could cover and learn off Carrick, taking over permanently in 12 months time, Ruben Neves perhaps? I'm sure JM is well aware of his talents, notably his leadership qualities.

Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away, we've spent far too much already and the squads already too big.

Hopefully Rooney, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Blackett, Varela and Rojo can follow the permanent transfers of Love and McNair. Pereira, Wilson and Keane would benefit from a loan deal similar to Janujaz, as long as they get 25+ games at Prem/Championship level.

Presuming the squad stays the same by the end of the window, I can see us playing a few different shapes/formations depending on the opposition, as JM likes to 'counter' and adapt to the oppositions tactics or match scenarios.

I'd like to see J. Pereira, Riley, Olosunde, Goss, Mitchell, Gribbin, Williams, Redmond even Gomes make the step up this season but with the current size of the squad and JM's track record with youth I think it might be a little too soon for them.
