Yea I mean they call them selves the silent majority. But in all honesty he had a 30% base of the republican primaries(obviously more once people started dropping out but his core base was about 30%). If we're going to assume it's about 50-50 between R's and D's so that's only like 15% of all people who voted. And then on top of that the amount of people who voted in all primaries on both sides was like 56 million. That's only 28.6% of eligible voters (about one third) so his 15 percent is more like 5%. Weird way of thinking about it but you get to the same number you got.
