I'm an Aussie fan heading to the UK in a couple of weeks and just purchased tickets for the away game vs. Hull. Since our new away ticket rules are bullshit, I had to purchase tickets in the home support.

Anyway, what is the protocol for this? No cheering? No wearing scarves ect?

It's not really bullshit it's been done for a very good reason (blame the unauthorised groups payin season ticket holders to get tickets for them)

As for the answer to your question don't do absolutely anything. If a single steward finds out your a united fan you'll be escorted out of the ground with a nice ban from the ground your going to ( not that will probably matter to you)

Quick question, have you ever been to hull?

If not send me a message and when I get chance I'll tell you some places to go/park also I know the hotel United stay at the night before

I used to live near hull so I know the place well (hoping to go to the game myself) and the one thing I can tell you is the area around the ground is not a nice place as all.

Thanks for the offer man, my only quiery would be is the walk from the train station to KC stadium safe at night? I've heard hull is a dangerous place.

Absolutely not at all, it's not really walkable anyway but I wouldn't do it

The ground is in a horrible area, get a taxi or bus from the shopping area.

The team stay at forest pines the night before which is on the other side of the Humber bridge so impossible to get to if your not driving.

Bravery I like it, just like the bravery you will need when being surronded by 20,00 angry hull fans.

Jokes mate enjoy the game! Plus I don't think you will get a stadium ban, just don't jump around or shout if United score, do that and you are totally fine.

Don't wear anything United related, don't in anyway let anyone know you're a United fan and don't in any audio or visual manner show support for United, mainly for your own safety, (there are still a number of thugs who attend football matches who may 'take offence') although this is becoming less of a factor these days, (thank fuck), but as has been said you'll be escorted out of the ground 'for your own safety'.

Also, it may be worth coming up with a reasonable 'cover story' as to why you support Hull. No disrespect to Hull but they don't have many international fans, so as soon as anyone hears you speak you're gonna get asked why you're at a Hull match. So you could just be a fan of EPL football in general and Hull was all you could get (be careful with that), or your great granddad was from Hull before he emigrated (where in Hull was he born?), or you married a local girl (where in Hull did she come from?). Or you could just try and keep your mouth shut.

This isn't the 70s though, so your not likely to get in trouble, just that it can get somewhat nervous, especially when United score.

This is well excessive. Just say you're a tourist and you want to see a game. You're not gonna get beaten up or escorted out of there for not being a die-hard Hull fan.

No disrespect but when was the last time you were at a Hull match? It may seem excessive but it's sound advice, you may not get beaten up for not being a 'die-hard Hull fan' but if anyone finds out you're a United fan there is a very real chance of violence and a very good chance of being escorted out. Added to which in Hull being outside the Hull ground is like a rich white man being cut adrift in 1970s Harlem.

Yes, he could. But how many neutral tourists would choose to attend a Hull match? Especially a Hull vs United match?

As I said, Hull is hardly tourist central (no offence to Hull as aside from the area around the ground it's a pretty decent place).
