Why is social life needed? (self.MGTOW)

As I ask this I am sitting in my small basement "apartment " after 3 or 4 friends just didn't answer me at all to hang out. I feel bored and ancy and crave to be around and talk with someone.

Now I know it's human nature or our biology to seek companionship or connection but is there a way around it?

So far the only solutions I've found to make me not release that need to be around people were having a dog. Smoking weed. Or diving into study/spiritual pursuit.

Generally I enjoy being by my self mostly but I still feel this need to socialize. But I feel it's like a weakness or a habit that can be maintained.

What do you guys think? And how do you handle this feeling?

Since mgtow it definitely comes less frequent because now I identify with a lifestyle which is centered around what I want to do for my self and not for the recognition or praise of anyone else :)

And that applies to male relationships as well. I have male friends, but it's hard for me to muster the energy to call them half the time because of so many irritations like them always attempting to be 'dominant' and the constant barbs or innuendos- little implied put downs- nothing as bad as dealing with females of course and there is a lot to be learned always from talking to men- there is nothing to ever been gained by talking to women- but irritating and draining all the same.

And then nowadays I just have so many ways I like to do things and just don't want to bend to someone's else's 'will' of them having things their way.

Maybe for a day at their house for a barbeque, but ugh, as I get older I get less and less enjoyment or any kind of fulfillment from being around just about anyone.

It's just herd mentality re-enforcing itself. It can be overcome once you understand it. Lone wolf syndrome and all that.

For someone like me, it is very easy to be alone. I have friends and acquaintances but I will not give them a chance to waste my time. For this, I have some respect.if a buddy decides to bail on a plan we made, I will do it alone. I learned to live like this, by force due to lack of friendship growing up.

Same way you un-learn needing people to socialize with. You do not know the power of pure solitude. It is uncomfortable, but you will force yourself to live with it.

No, it's not. This is what everybody keeps telling us but there are many people today who simply prefer to be alone most of the time. They are also quite happy.
