I'm sure all of you know /u/tyler980908 on here. The Emperor of Anti-Ship and the user who all the trolls copy. He posts shipping art which usually ends up on the front page for awhile. But he seems to have this plague following him around. And it's people who downvote just because it's Tyler.

Now I 100% understand if he comments something and you genuinely disagree. But when you see his name and just click dislike because it's him that's just stupid.

He's still a person, and being rude to him just because of his "status" on this subreddit isn't cool. This is a subreddit where I consider ourselves a family. A place where we can all come and be friends and be able to talk about a movie we love.

There's already enough hate and bullying in this world so why bring it here.

Fully agree with this, though I would rename the title from some a little too broad. 'Discussion' on its own has been used a lot recently.

Agreed, Most of us don't really go past lighthearted ribbing on him. I am genuinely playful at a lot of times, i don't dislike Tyler one bit and will try and defend him if i can he is just as much family to me as is the rest of the community :)

I think that we all lightheartedly rib him. But we need him. He's there to be the voice of the non-shippers because without him, We won't get the the other side of the coin as most of us here are WildeHopps shippers (Including me.) and other non-shippers aren't as vocal.

Oh I've seen some of that "tylerphobia" around. I don't see the point of doing this. What I do is just join the conversation in a playful way because as I said I find Tyler's personality pretty fun!

Tyler has this weird stigma that he hats gifs and the ship. While we all get that the whole "war" is somewhat of an inside joke, Tyler doesn't seem like a person who would intentionally harass a person through others over an image format, but then again I don't know him too well except for the "war" and his fanart. And being constantly downvoted? That's really cold, and trust me, we went through Tundratown.

Okay, every sub seems to have their tyler. Someone who got a bad reputation because they had a controversial opinion, made a bad joke or was just at the wrong time at the wrong place once too often. While they may have had troubling behavior once, no matter if they still have it or not, once that reputation is formed and people started disliking and downvoting them, it's hard to shake that up, even if their behavior changes.

This has been ticking me off for awhile now. Tyler makes a snarky remark that others would probably be upvoted for he is then downvoted. God forbid he ask a question than the downvotes really kill him! For a sub of tolerance there sure is a lot of hate.

Some people legit need to stop, if you can't handle an opinion on the internet and feel the need to just slam those opinions with negativity rather than try and come to understand it and just accept it, they're using extreme negative feedback to try and, I dunno, censor it maybe, this is wrong, censorship is wrong, and prevents free expression (something that this world needs).

While I agree, Tyler knows full well that being the anti shipper is the equivalent of being bellwether around here. So if he gets down voted because of anti shipping I'm fine with that. But the stuff he posts that makes the front page is awesome... most of the time.
