We have Valencia and Darmian in that position.

  • Darmian was really good during the start of last season. And then he started to show inconsistency and got injured too many times. He can defend well but he is not as good as Valencia in case of going forward. Maybe he wasn't managed well by the manager.

  • Valencia has proved his worth during Copa America, Pre-season, and CS match against LCFC.

TFM is hugely underrated at RB to be honest. He can be pretty good if given an opportunity, though I think it'll be rare at RB position.

Tim actually had a good game vs Everton after coming on as a sub, so I'm pretty confident about our RB position.

I would say no. Darmian needs a chance to prove himself and Valencia is decent, besides it's never good to have too many new signings. Give it a season or at least until December, see how our current options fare and then take a decision.

We have TfM who can play as a RB. He can cross well, defend well and is good going forward.
I don't see him on Jose's plan, as he has previously mentioned about 23 men squad.

You start playing TFM at RB and he becomes a RB which would be a massive waste of his potential at DM.

I compare him with Alaba. He plays on a LB position for Bayern and started as a DM/CM for Austria, he can also play on CB position too.
TfM have got the same qualities. It wouldn't be waste of potential but it would be utilization.

I think so, Darmian should be given proper chance. And in case of injury TfM looks good in RB as well as Mou previously mentioned Warren. We know it will be hard for TfM to get proper game time, it would be dream for Tyrell Warren.

No we don't, Valencia had been performing well in preseason and Darmian is a good backup. Even Fosu-Mensah would do a job there

I think Jose will quickly find out Valencia's weaknesses at RB and Darmian's qualities at RB and will play them accordingly. Fully expect Valencia to start on Sunday though.

No i think we'll be alright with just the two of them. If Mou was that worried he wouldn't have loaned out Varela.
