There's two explanations:

He fit the "we need more brown people in the audience" criterion and was placed there as window dressing without having checked his credentials, or he was placed there as intentional bait.

It's either a weak argument for poor judgement and PERSEC practices or an attempt to bait Trump into a public feud with another minority. Both have little upside, especially with only a few weeks left, it's better to use earned media time on other topics.

    I understand the desire to play it safe, but come on. What possible reason could there have been for this guy to not just be there - but in a preferred and highly visible spot? This is either another example of gross negligence - or worse. At the end of the day, I am completely at a loss as to how drawing attention to such a glaring issue could be a trap. Hell, I'm surprised more people weren't concerned about making Hillary's health an issue. While it may be a legitimate concern that would be used against a Republican candidate, you know as well as the rest of us that the MSM would turn it into, "Evil Conservatives take war on women to a new low and attack Hillary Clinton on private, health related issues."
