Hasn't showed anything post Moyes that would justify getting another chance.

Memphis hasn't either.

If we're picking erratic, promising but ultimately disappointing left wingers to coddle I'll pick Adnan over Memphis everytime.

Adnan's younger, he's accomplished much more in a bigger league and we should always prioritise longer serving players/academy players over imports. He's been with us since he was 15.

Not to mention, I think he has a much higher ceiling than Memphis.

Comparing Memphis to Adnan isnt fair to either. Memphis had already proven himself before joining UTD, and he's had only one season under LVG's restrictive system so he was unable to shine. Adnan has been given chances since Moyes left, he even went out to Dortmund and still didn't impress.

Memphis had one good season in the Dutch league where he finished well behind Wijnaldum for the POTY award (geriatric Dirk Kuyt outscored him the next season, it's not difficult to rack up goals there.)

Januzaj has actually had one amazing season in the PL - a league where Memphis hasn't even had 3 good games.

Memphis came to international prominence precisely because of LvG's system at the World Cup. He just hasn't stepped up to a bigger league.

even if LvG is a valid excuse, both have the exact same issues.

But Januzaj's achieved a lot more, is more technically gifted, is younger, is from our academy, has been here longer and should be prioritised

If we're turfing out youngsters I definitely prefer throwing Memphis out before Januzaj.

Sub's flooded with plastics because of Pogba news right now, not just the flurry of stupid commenters but also the voting lurkers.

Smaller proportion of users on here that actually go to matches or live in the UK so they're hyping up the guy with the bigger marketing machine behind him (Memphis).

This sub has been flooded with plastics from day one lad.

Still think he has some potential and that all the attitude stuff is over exaggerated but would be fine with selling/loaning him because he won't get the game time he needs here

I just can't see him getting a place in the side.

He hasn't really progressed and his attitude seems to be shit, he's got talent but I feel he will never be more than a mid table PL level player

[–]ReflectingGodMata 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

I'd love to see him succeed but I don't see where he fits in. He should have been given a chance last season but injuries and a loan move (which shouldn't have been given the green light) meant he saw little gametime. I'm still not even sure what his best position is, whereever it is, we have at least three players ahead of him, the backups being in need of gametime to develop also. At LM we have Martial, Memphis, Lingard and Rashford. At 10 we have Rooney, Mata, Lingard and Pereira and on the RW we have Mkhi, Lingard and Rashford. At this point, he has impressed least out of our attacking youngsters in the first team.

If he is willing to make it work by going out on loan to a less glamorous club and working his arse off there to become first choice so he can develop, then I'd love to keep him for the future.

If he continues to display this arrogance and sense of entitlement, he can just go. He is so far away from where he needs to be to kick on but he obviously has the raw talent, so it is incredibly frustrating.

Sometimes, a player needs to go and make their own future elsewhere. Think it'd be best for him if he went to a mid table side and built his career there. A buy back clause would suit all parties.

Two year loan to a smaller club. If he isn't better, then unlucky to the lad.

I really, really want him to do well, but I just don't see it. Not with us. He did well in 2013, but as others have said he hasn't shown much since. I think we need to be careful with how we handle his situation, the best idea would probably be to loan him or sell him with a buyback clause. He's still very young. However, I also worry about his attitude, especially if it was true he pushed for the BVB move and also if the coaches over there had reservations regarding him.

Just lost confidence under LVG (who didn't) .

Plenty of people thrived under LVG - Smalling, Martial, Rashford, Lingard. Adnan has a lot of natural ability, but he doesn't have the work ethic or temperament to become a top player. He'll be better off in a lesser league with a lesser club.

He would be amazing in a Mourinho United, he has always needed space to run in to and he didn't get it under LVG. Its a shame that he won't get a chance, not that he deserves it with his attitude.

He needs a loan to a good squad that will play him and be at a decent level.

Needs to go for his own good.

[–]sartschKeane 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Had his fair share of chances, seemingly doesn't put in the effort required and fails to see any kind of blame with himself.

Can't see him succeeding. And, tbh, in Ferguson's era he'd have long since been shipped out. It's probably for the better for all parties involved if he moves on to other shores.

He is a young player, I think we should give him another chance, he could easily go somewhere else and be brilliant. However I do think the team will be stacked, I would love nothing more than to see him push his way into the team but will he do it?? I don't know.

His mentality has always seemed questionable, he has really had to step it up, players like Rashford and Lingard were miles behind him in the pecking order and they stepped up but he hasn't.

I hope he stays and proves us all wrong, but if he leaves it will be his own fault

[–]NostrabrahmusMartial 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

He should be long gone. He's sucked for two years and he's got a shit attitude.

Let him go, let him go...

He has bags of potential. He's someone who had me all excited when he was playing for the Youth teams.

That said, he's really stagnated since Moyes left the club. Didn't really fit in with Van Gaal's philosophy (well, neither could Di Maria), I don't blame him for the past two years. But as van Gaal said, maybe he could've gone on loan to the Premier League clubs that were wanting him - he chose to go to a big club like Borussia Dortmund - where he had to be a back up to the already established line up of players.

Scope this season? Can't see him get ahead of Memphis, Lingard, Mkhitaryan or Martial.

If he chooses to stay at United - Starter in League Cup, Europa League and if I've to push it, maybe he might start against the lesser sides in FA Cup early rounds.

Best career choice would be to go on loan to a club like Bournemouth, Middlesborough - where he can be 2nd choice or in the rotation for the starting XI.

Sell him to Juve now and come back for him in couple of years.

I would rather we focus on Memphis, his attitude seems to be much better. I feel he actually had a Macheda moment during his first season the older he get.
