I remember my parents telling me that before the fall of comunism in '89, '90, men had a bachelor fee they had to pay if they weren't married up until they were 24, but women didn' have such a fee. The years may not be entirely accurate, and they may differ by country, if they had such a fee. The fee was roughly 10% of one's salary, and you would have to pay it up until you were about 50 years old. Mind you, this happened in communist Eastern Europe.
What do you think about such a fee and what would happen if such a fee would be implemented in the Western society for bachelors?
