Pogba & Ronaldo comparisons (self.reddevils)

Do you guys think that Juve fans' relationship with Pogba might develop into the kind that United fans have with Ronaldo? Both signed for clubs at a young-ish age, with tons of potential. Made massive contributions. Got iconic club numbers. Left for new transfer records. And left for clubs that they said they loved/had dreams of playing for/again. United supporters have for the most part since become major fans of Ronaldo again. I know people are divided about singing Viva Ronaldo, but generally we cheer for him etc., Do you see Juve supporters ever getting to that point?

there are some parallels but i dont think juve fans developed the same affinity for pogba as united fans have for ronaldo

while at juve pogba achieved a lot and performed well enough to earn the #10 kit. on the other hand, while at united, ronaldo was the best player in the world, won a champions league, etc

pogba was certainly a star at juve but by the time ronaldo left he had already earned legendary status at united

The exact equivalent would be if Ronaldo left in '07, the summer before winning the CL. He would rightly be hated. So you can understand the animosity towards Pogba right now. They just need to realise that they're a much smaller club, and that stagnating in Serie A was never an option for le Pog.
