I was discussing the Pogba fee with a fellow fan today and we both agreed that losing him for a few years to Italy may have been a blessing in disguise, and that the fee reflects how he has developed as a player. I'm happier paying big money for the Pogba who developed in Italy under Conte etc., playing next to Pirlo et al. rather than the risk of him plateauing throughout the Moyes/LVG period. In other words, the way everything has panned out seems to have been better for both the player and the club, from a certain point of view. Thoughts?
