So, /r/BirdsWithArms. It had to happen. But how did the sub come about?

/u/siouxsie_siouxv2: The sub was already a thing when I got here but I've always been a fan of this place and photoshopbattles etc. So when my reddit life-partner Gallowboob said they needed help I was more than happy to oblige.

In the previous feature we did on /r/birdswitharms, the writer nearly lost their mind, caught up in the poetic whirlwind this sub engenders. You know your sub. Why is it so deep?

/u/siouxsie_siouxv2: Of course! As it is with gifs and other creative subs, funny is always more effective than skill.

/u/antipode: Anywhere from 5 to 10, and that's just the way we like it. It's just as hilarious to see the amazingly polished ones (with the knowledge that someone spent so much time on something so ridiculous) as it is to see the incredibly crappy ones (which have their own special charm, and capture the true soul of this sub). Anyone is welcome to arm birds, no matter their skill level.
