Happy (or sad) Monday guys!

Mindless Monday is generally for those instances of bad history that do not deserve their own post, and posting them here does not require an explanation for the bad history. That being said, this thread is free-for-all, and you can discuss politics, your life events, whatever here. Just remember to np link all links to Reddit and don't violate R4, or we human mods will feed you to the AutoModerator.

I like to listen to KUTX on my drive to work in the morning. They have a morning DJ named Johnny who sounds like he's somewhere in his 50s and has no idea what he's doing. I'm convinced the man is a treasure to the station. Some of his highlights include the statement "Where does your mind go? Nowhere because it's inside your head," and starting a song, then waiting fifteen seconds and saying "Oops, I pressed the wrong button. You don't want to listen to that song," and then playing an entirely different song.

It just makes the morning a bit more interesting.

Hey badhistory,

Evidently you folks like dissecting bad history, but what about creating it? /r/DawnPowers is looking for some new players to fill in some blanks and people with an interest in political and cultural history fit the bill.

The root concept of the sub is pretty similar to other Powers games I know a friend of mine has advertised here before: claim a sliver of the planet as a nation or people and roleplay their development culturally, politically, religiously, colonially and everything-elsely over the centuries.

The big difference with Dawn is we're on a foreign planet. Don't worry, though, it's all Koppen Climate Classified with Earth's flora and fauna in the biomes they belong in.

We're currently in the technological equivalent of 300BC, but our natural history varies a great deal from the real world so there's substantial differences here and there, like some of the premiere states of the world being in the equivalent of southern Africa.

Last week of internship before I head back to the great Indiana. Woot! Its been pretty fun down here, and I have loved my work. Hope my part time job with this company won't kill me during my next semester.
