Probably not the thread everyone is wanting to see while we wait for the official confirmation for #Pogback, but I am hoping some fellow reds can help and guide me here with my questions. And apologize in advance for the long post.
I am planning to visit England for a week to get to watch a home match live. About me, I am lifelong supporter, religiously following United for the last 20 years (which is more than 2/3rds of my being), and being in California for the last 7 years, this includes getting up at 4:45am on certain weekends, and working from home for Champions League weekdays, to not miss a United match. So while making a trip to my home in India early next year, I am planning to stopover at London on the way back to be able to fulfill my childhood dream of visiting the Theatre of Dreams.
With the dates of visit I can make happen (January end to Feb 10th 2017), "United vs Hull City on Feb 1st 2017" is what I is looking likely. Now I have gone through the bookmarked "FAQ post: Ticket information" here - https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/comments/312607/rreddevils_faq_post_ticket_information/, and I understand the following - I need to get the official membership to buy a matchday ticket.
Now I had a few questions:
1) I will be visiting with the Missus. Do I need to buy 2 official membership (one for both of us), or can I buy one for me and purchase 2 match-day tickets with it?
2) Looking here for the Matchday tickets vs Hull on Feb 1st - https://www.eticketing.co.uk/muticketsandmembership/details/event.aspx?itemref=8624 - I see just few vacant seats, and hardly any 2 vacant seats together. Is this expected, or since I am not a member currently signed in I am not seeing all vacant seats?
3) I am also planning to do a Stadium/Museum tour. I see 2 options - One is Stadium tour (£9 for member, £18 otherwise), and one is OT Experience Specialist Museum & Tour (£25). Can't seem to figure out the difference b/w the 2, which one should I take.
Highly appreciate if folks can help guide me through above. Also, any other recommendations in general for someone visiting England and Manchester for the first time? Hotels nearby OT, etc (I plan to reach Manchester on 31st Jan, and head out on 2nd Feb). Thanks in advance. And sorry to steal your mind away from the Community Shield win and of course the agonizing wait for Pogba.
TL; DR - Lifelong United fan hoping to visit Old Trafford for a home match, looking for some help and guidance.
