Either George Best, Cristiano Ronaldo, or Eric Cantona for me.

The best player to ever play for Manchester United is arguably George Best. Type his name into YouTube and tremble in awe, mortal.

Bobby Charlton, George Best, Eric Cantona or Cristiano Ronaldo I'd say. People will say Duncan Edwards, but he died at a young age due to the Munich Air Crash so I don't know if he's the best ever

Duncan Edwards is without a shadow of a doubt the most tragic "What-If?" in our clubs history. The fact that Charlton has said multiple times he was the only player that constantly upstaged him is just so sad.

Giggs and Scholes too, not only the best technically, their longevity is unmatched as well

Look up: Duncan Edwards, Bobby Charlton, George best, Eric cantona...

Obvious answer is Giggs. The most decorated footballer in history.

Unfortunately Maxwell the LB from PSG overtook him yesterday although giggs is far better

There has been many, each era had a different need and each legend of that era delivered the goods.

For me it has to be George Best.

Bobby Charlton is the historical great in terms of all round package.

Cristiano Ronaldo played the best season in strictly football terms.

I'd have Roy Keane as the greatest player of the Ferguson era.

Edwards, Charlton, Law, Best, Robson, Cantona, Keane, Giggs, Scholes, Ronaldo are all candidates.
I will have to go with Sir Bobby Charlton.

Ronaldo, will never find a more perfect attacker. He had skills speed and precision.

I'm just going to go from post 1995, because I believe you can only judge a player if you have seen them live and that's as far as I can remember.

In my opinion our best player is Scholes, followed by Ronaldo

Best player of my lifetime is either Cantona, Giggsy, or CR7. In the club's history it would arguably be George Best or Bobby Charlton.

My dad would have said Duncan Edwards for his tackling/running/passing/heading/shooting.

I saw Best play live only once, towards the end of his United career, it wasn't his best game. But I watched him on telly and he was in a different class.

Bryan Robson could win a game on his own and he made games enjoyable even when we were losing. Keane almost matched Robbo in that respect and he was more reliable.

Cantona changed the whole club single-handed and was always worth the ticket price.

All this said, Paul Scholes was by far the best footballer I have ever seen play. Not the fastest, not the most skillful on the ball, but definitely the most accurate passer, always in space, always more time on the ball than anyone else and always made the right decision. What's more, Paul Scholes, he scores goals!

Best or Ronnie as far as I am concerned.
