If you go mgtow are you automatically a alpha male? (self.MGTOW)

I'm assuming it at least puts you above beta male status? Or this there no such thing as betas and alphas in Mgtow?

alpha and beta is a highly imprecise attempt to describe the hierarchy of men as determined by their appeal to women. it is not intended as a value judgment, so there is no "above" beta status except when measuring the likelihood of inspiring certain behaviors by women. mgtow don't magically become invisible, so women's perception of us would still be measurable within this context, and you could call any of us as alpha or beta as you think we are. but in the context of mgtow, women's perception of us and their reactions to us are not important.

There's been a recent trend of conflating alpha with red pill.

MGTOW have dropped the red pill. However, not all red pillers are MGTOW. And just because you dropped the red pill or went mgtow doesn't make you an alpha.

Today's mainstream western idea of an alpha is an obnoxious tall musclar guy who is loud and disrespectful. I know most don't see that as alpha but most of the time the dumb ass women flock to the men like that.

In reality an alpha acts like a dignified ruler of his own mind. A sturdy grounded man. Who doesn't speak to just speak. Who is reserved when he needs to be. Is respectful to him self and everyone around him yet will show his disatisfaction in the best possible way. With out being emotional. A holy man or samurai or martial artist with self control and dicipljne. Is what alpha would be for me.
