Yeah but then you have other assholes like in this thread, "but it [drm] doesn't hurt anyone" and other such justifications. Maybe 5-10 years from now if things continue this way, were going to have games that are so invasive, extremely subject to permanent loss even though you're legit, and inability to replay those games after a few years.
And then a few people will be thinking "aw man how did this happen. Who knew drm would make it so it's unplayable years from now"
Idiots. Nothing about drm is good for the consumer. It doesn't help the publisher, it only hurts you and every other customer.
Drm is seriously so ridiculous.
Not just in games..but it's to the point where systems are disallowing taking screenshots of a video because "oh god think of the piracy!!"
When monitors and TVs spend a large portion of their connection time handshaking to ensure their content is "secure"(from you), and most of the issues that go wrong with connections is actually thanks to DRM, and we're paying for all of this in everything, every adapter, every tv, every device - - things are seriously fucked up.
