Members who continue in an obvious sin should not be kept within the body. Love thy enemy does not mean make your enemy a head of the church or give them a role within the church.. Accepting someone as a sinner doesn't mean we applaud someone who internally and externally dwells in sin. You can't have a Gay pastor who loves being gay but you can have a pastor who is fighting homosexual thoughts/feelings. It's really different when you encounter someone who is struggling and someone who is proud. Imagine a thieves pride parade and a church being open to those who identify as thieves. It's preposterous and all people have to say is "you're a dick for not accepting thieves for who they are in your church, what happened to love thy enemy?" Dude, if someone came to a church and said "I just can't stop stealing I need help and a family of support in this", no one would have an issue but that's not what happens. They make up some bullshit about how it's normal and just as good as not stealing and that science says its normal Jesus was a thief ect... It's very frustrating. You dig?
