Your support for legal expenses is requested

My apologies for my rapid disappearance from Facebook last week. I had completely hit the wall with the difficulties I was facing with being continually harassed and threatened due to my advocacy for men and shared parenting. As a direct result of this infiltrating my local community I have had to leave my home and move away from the area. The aim that I should be “run out of town” came to fruition in so much as I felt unsafe particularly with recent significant intimidations and at that time I made my final decision to leave.

Yesterday I attended court in Sydney for the initial AVPO mention (protection order) which was granted ex parte on an interim basis for both myself and my daughter.

I have been fortunate enough to have pro bono legal assistance, however there are now mounting associated fees for court, formal reports and other research I require for evidence for when we make the final mention in 2 weeks, which may still go to a full hearing.

Because all of this has come about due to my advocacy for men and fathers I am asking for small donations from each of you for my legal fund.

The particular woman in question has been involved in doxxing, harassing and defaming father’s rights advocates in Australia and North America since around 2007/2008. It is in all our interests if she is held accountable legally for her actions. Not only to prevent her in the future, but as a message to all those who believe they can troll, harass and threaten others online in a bid to silence or defame them though the (false sense) of anonymity of social media.

I know that many of you are fighting your own battles and are stretched financially. I do not wish to put anyone into any further hardship. However if each of you could donate $10 it will go towards what is most likely going to be around $2000 in coming expenses.
As you know of me, anything not covered will go directly back to supporting men in need, homeless, family court or victims of DV, as I so often give from my personal funds or in time given to the men’s and fathers rights movement in general.
I appreciate your support so that I can continue to support men.

The Elephant In The Room #16Days of Awareness of Violence Against Women Myths

The Elephant In The Room – #16Days

DESTROY THE NARRATIVE

Australia is currently blinded by the narrative created that only women are worthy of protection and only women can be victims of domestic violence. Radical feminist groups like Destroy The Joint have been successful in creating great mistruths about the ‘epidemic’ of domestic violence in Australia. Their tally of women killed includes women who have suicided, women who have died where it is unknown who the perpetrators were and women who are murdered by other women. Their success has been in bringing them all under one banner that every woman is a victim of ‘societal misogyny’ and the media AND our government believe that all these women were killed in domestic violence by men.

When the media reports a story about a violent, abusive or murderous female it has  bias in the way it speaks about them and when domestic violence is involved they carefully construct the headlines so as to not speak out against the agenda which says that men (particularly) don’t suffer at the hands of women.

The issue with this is that our government seems incapable of research to understand that the deaths of women this year are no worse than last year – there is no epidemic, there is just mis reporting and falsifying and inflating figures.

Destroy The Narrative is a social media campaign to raise awareness of female perpetrators. It reports the victims of women killed this year in Australia that include men, women and children.  The purpose of this campaign is not to dismiss the importance of protection of women, but to raise awareness that men, women and children are all worthy of protection and that women are perpetrators too.

If we can bust this current myth and media created hysteria we aim to bring awareness that we desperately need services for men and their children which include

  • Shelters and emergency accommodation
  • Financial assistance to flee domestic violence
  • Assured access to legal aid and dedicated service for male victims
  • Support lines for men in crisis staffed by people who understand male victims

To date I have been raising awareness through writing, researching and creating video content. The narrative is slowly changing through this work and that of my of my men’s rights colleagues who are also working tirelessly for change.

Now that Relating To Men has established a considerable body of work with substantial and irrefutable evidence it’s time to take it to the next level of advocacy in approaching government to affect the changes we so desperately need.

This work comes at significant personal expense and is entirely self funded. All donations to continue to fund this work are gratefully appreciated.
