Hey folks,
The mod team has been chatting privately about the possibility of altering the 12 hour rule.
For those who don't know: the current rule is that posts from /r/legaladvice must be at least 12 hours old or locked before being posted here. This is to ensure that the OP of the linked thread is able to get plenty of advice and to discourage brigades.
This rule was put into place in the early days of BoLA because we saw an uptick in folks crossing over, and it was starting to cause problems in the main sub.
With the reset, we're looking over rules like this to see if they make sense as-is, or if we should tweak them. Currently, there's an idea on the board to reduce the 12 hour rule to 6, and I'd like to hear your feedback.
