So I've bee on the sub for awhile...and it seems that with many scam projects they follow a pretty typical route with their updates. I backed this for a $1 so I can follow it because it was posted on here and these spheres are sold in China online. I will say that the project owner does post updates about every month but I have a feeling it will start going down hill form here...maybe I'm wrong. This project made $500k

Anyways here is the recent update posted today.
"Production and shipping update!
We've fallen quite a bit behind on production, so I wanted to send out a quick update just to let you know what we're doing and why it's taking so long! I know my previous estimates were a July shipment, but we are doing our best to uphold the quality standards you deserve.
Copper
First of all, the copper, especially the matte finish, was oxidizing very quickly after manufacture. We have been trying lots of different solutions to make sure when you get the sphere, it's in great condition.
The solution we came up with is vacuum-packing. This way, the air is removed so that oxidation will not take place until you want it to :) Here's what it looks like:
This way, when you're ready for some patina, just open up the package. If you want to coat the sphere (we'll have some suggestions) so that it doesn't oxidize, that's an option as well.
The first polishing cloth we ordered was not effective at cleaning the copper. While it's a small detail, I thought it was important enough to order a 2nd batch that is more effective. Here is the one we are going with:
It does a good job of keeping the patina off if that's what you choose :)
Titanium
The first Titanium batch didn't pass QA and was sent back. However, our trusty Gene has figured out a production method that should work going forward, and the first batch of Titanium spheres are being processed this way now. I'm going to show you a picture of the finished product. Keep in mind, this is an improved production method and I had no idea this was even possible:
If we can expand this into production, which I believe we can, these will be the most amazing Titanium spheres of all time :)
Display Case
I have some bad news on the display case. The manufacturer we were using has pulled out of the project unexpectedly. We've tried to source other cases from many other factories, but none of them are of good enough quality. At this point, I'm going to stay it's best to pull the plug on the cases and refund your money. I don't want to put the rest of the project at risk by continuing to throw money on the case design until we have the spheres worked out completely.
For now, I'm going to be refunding all case upgrades. Look for a credit on your credit card statement in the next week.
In the future, I hope to have a nice case that you can add on and for those of you who upgraded, I'll make sure you get a discount on that future product. I apologize for not being able to get it done in time to ship with the spheres, but I'd rather refund your money now rather than continuing to delay the project.
Timeline
The updated production timeline puts us shipping late next week. I will send out another update when orders are going out! Thanks so much for your patience, everyone!
