Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as separate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

Alright, lads.

Today is Pogba's last day of holiday. He is supposed to return to Juventus tomorrow, but we all know that's not happening.

We should keep an eye on any of the flight radar systems to see if there are any private jets flying out of New York heading towards England.

I doubt he will fly commercial, since it would give it away, and the secret would be over.

Can we get the idea of a privat jet our of peoples heads please?

There is absolutely no way he is leaving the US on a private jet. I know people think money is no object but your looking upwards of 50 grand for a private jet from New york to Manchester. he could sit on first class on a virgin flight for 2/3 grand and thats without taking into acount our new partnership with Virgin

I will put money on if hes coming direct to the UK he will be on one of the following flights

Vs46 / vs004 - Early flights to London

Vs4022 - Early flight to manchester

There are a load of overnight flights to Manchester and London as well getting in early hours of Sunday monring

I'd rather stick with Rooney and Mata at 10

EDIT: To explain my reasoning, both Rooney and Mata have Premier League experience and are settled with the squad. Bringing in Isco would mean selling one of them which is an unnecessary change and honestly I think Rooney and Mata are both better players anyway

Don't think it's likely that there are no departures at all. A few will be sold and some will be brought in to replace them, as Mourinho has said all along when it comes to selling players.

I see us selling Schweinsteiger and maybe selling/loaning Wilson, Pereira, Januzaj and Keane but I think it's entirely possible the 26 players listed stay

He didn't, he's just said that's the process for when he does. I don't think it's likely at all that there are zero additional departures, which is why I brought his protocol up. Some might think no one else will be sold but I don't see that being the case.

Well, Mourinho actually said that we're hoping to be done in the market by the 14th. I'm assuming being done in the market means acquisitions and sales.

Which would be doable for the most part. The players we'd be bringing in would be relatively easier to acquire compared to more drawn out transfers. I expect the club to have their replacements in mind and to move quickly to get the moves done if someone does leave.

The only scenario where it's not fully done is one that Mourinho has already acknowledged.

There is something that is also very important, which is that all the players I keep are happy. You can imagine, first game of the season, I don’t pick somebody, they get disappointed, they have the chance to go to another club, and somebody is feeling that they are not fundamental, they leave, so somebody has to come in.

Yea, I think the 26 man squad we have now is our 26 man squad for the season. I don't think anyone is going to be leaving. That's just my take on the matter.
