Hematological Cancer Research Investment and Education Act of 2001 - Amends the Public Health Service Act to require: (1) the Director of the National Institutes of Health, through the National Cancer Institute, to expand and coordinate blood cancer research programs, particularly with respect to leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma (Joe Moakley Research Excellence Program); and (2) the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a related education program for patients and the general public (Geraldine Ferraro Cancer Education Program).Authorizes appropriations.
