Winning the Community Shield in the right way could set the tone for the rest of the season. Leicester City are the reigning champions. United have struggled to compete, and certainly haven't been competing at the level the world is used to seeing. If United go out there and absolutely batter the reigning Champions, then it will be a clear show of intent for this season. 'We may have fallen, but we will rise again and we want the title.'

This couldn't be more true. What a fantastic statement of intent this will be to the world of football that the dormant giants have awoken and that their place at the top of the proverbial mountain will soon be restored.
