Question about swapping away tickets (self.reddevils)

Hi guys,

I'm going to the community shield this sunday with my girlfriend. For a while she might not have been able to come due to shifts and in that case because you're not allowed swapping with someone else we would have probably had to give up the tickets or try getting a refund from united. Question is - how do they enforce/check ticket holders at away games?
