LVG's plan B 2.0? [Discussion] (self.reddevils)

I remember the good old days (and not so good) when we had no other option but to use Felliani as our option for long balls and hoping for something to happen. The original plan B from LvG

Now that we have Felliani, Zlatan n Pogba in attack we can actually use this as a legitimate plan B 2.0 or even plan A against some teams?

Stature of the team: big tall guys like Zlatan, Pogba, Bailey, Smalling should be regulars for 1st team I assume, with Felliani coming from bench. Free kicks, corners, long balls, etc what do you think?

I don't think Zlatan is good at heading the ball. He always seems to use his feet

Zlatan is a great header. He uses his feet if the ball is anywhere below his head because his feet can reach that far.

zlatan was criticized often because he couldnt head even with his tall height. He'a not a good header for his height.

I can't remember the game but I remember a clip on MNF of G Nev analysing Chelsea trying the "plan B" versus the way we were playing "plan B" under LvG and the way Chelsea played the long balls was so organised and structured. They always won back possession and attacked in never ending waves and they eventually scored.

So yeah, I can definitely see Jose using the long ball to good effect late on in games if we need to.

I know his confirmation seems like nothing but a formality at the moment but can we please, for fucks sake, wait for it to be official before we make posts that automatically assume that he's here.
