I've got a long known friend who works for United in the commercial department. Asked him about the Pogba deal I'll post his exact response.

KinetiClutch: 'Can you please confirm Pogba? It's been an absolute age now and no announcement'

Friend: 'Why, are you getting worried about the deal?'

KinetiClutch: 'Yes, people are saying that the website team have had their articles ready to issue to announce Pogba for weeks, yet nothing has happened yet!'

Friend: 'I wouldn't worry about it at all ;)'

Obviously it's not direct confirmation, however he's bound by NDA and it's his job. He's worked at the club for a while and being in the commercial team he stays well informed.

He's fairly serious and the wink at the end is pretty much the only confirmation I needed now. For what it's worth it was on the fence and now I can rest my F5 button.

Might not be useful but felt like those who want some reassurance can have it.

I get it, I'm annoyed too but we have no one to blame but ourselves for that. We are acting like impatient and spoiled brats (myself included). Pogba is on holiday and United is never going to confirm a transfer before his medical and he arrives at OT. It would be wrong for United to force him to abandon his holiday early, he's definitely earned all his time off. When's the last time a player was officially confirmed by the club without a tweet of the player holding up his new jersey with a goofy smile?

United knows the deal is done. Juve knows the deal is done. DiMarzio and several other journalists know the deal is done. Employees of both clubs know the deal is done. The only people that haven't been told the deal is done are the fans. So just try to have a relaxing weekend, enjoy the Community Shield. Let's smash Leicester!

Pogba will be announced next week once he is actually in England. Try not to drive yourself crazy everyone. Maybe check out some of the Olympics over the next two days to fend off that insanity setting in :)

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe what you're saying.

Now, I don't know how regularly you speak to the fella but if you speak somewhat often, I'd consider reframing your questions to get a more telling answer.

Specifically, ask him something like 'Hey I was thinking about getting a Pogba #6 jersey, what do you think?'. That invites your friend to share his personal opinion, which would no doubt be subconsciously influenced by the professional information he knows.

I really need to stop watching crime documentaries.

Because all he can do is forward me through the standard ticket process he can purchase specially but have to be used by him and not given out. As I'm not a season ticket member that means with regards to tickets he can't actually help me. He's in commercial not hospitality.

At the end of the day it's up to you. I'm not going to give his name so so I can't do much to prove anything. All I'm posting this is to give anyone harbouring some fears last bit of reassurance.

Call me sceptical but proclaiming posts of reassurance scream lies to me... It's easily perceived as that so you shouldn't feel offended but as I said, I could literally make the same stuff up as it's pretty vague.

Okay well I'll have to leave you to it. Fairly sure my account would reveal me to be a normal person not a karma bot. My last resort was to ask a friend who works at United about the Pogba deal. He's usually straight faced and won't say anything about deals. So for him to do this means I'm pretty reassured it's done. This is why I posted it.

I personally believe we should not worry about the deal at all at this stage - for a simple reason: If Pog was staying, Juve or Paul would DENY any claims, basically go and say 'Paul is a Juve player and will remain so for the next season' kind of stuff.

As many said, it's more about when than if.
