Liandro Martis confirms players that have played for Reserves, including Januzaj and Schweinsteiger. (self.reddevils)

I know I just made a thread about Liandro Martis but I thought that this was big news since it confirmed recent reports.

Players he has played with in the reserves:

  • Adnan Januzaj

  • Bastian Schweinsteiger

  • Andreas Pereira

  • Timothy Fosu-Mensah

If people think this should be in the other thread, I'll move it to there.

Real shame, I hope both Pereira and TFM play some role in the team this year. Both have exciting potential and it'd be a waste to let them go or squander away their talent.

Especially since we're on the brink of breaking the world record fee for a player that left specifically because of a lack of playing time...

I think Mou confirmed though that this was because of a minor injury.

Adnan - I don't think he's going to make it with us and should be sold. He showed glimpses of talent at times and started last season well before going on loan. The loan was a bust and Nick Powell impressed LVG more than him when he was back.

Schweinsteiger - I hate to see him go, and I hate how this saga is going. It should be put to bed quickly and he should be transferred if he's past it.

Pereira - We have experience and depth in his position, and it would be beneficial for him to go on an extended loan, as it would be difficult for him to break into the side as it stands. We've all seen the potential with him, and, unlike everyone else last season, can take a direct free kick if nothing else.

TFM - We really shouldn't be letting him go unless it's a loan. He's got bags of potential and is versatile enough to develop in a few different positions.
