So, I was looking at costs for private jets, and I found that the cheapest for a private jet from JFK to MAN is £41,000 (although, I am sure there are additional costs that are not mentioned there i.e. customs, inspection, etc.)

Also, with a private jet, there could be safety concerns with flying overseas. If something goes wrong, there is no where to land, whereas with a commercial airline, the chances of that happening are quite low, since those things are properly inspected/vetted, because 100+ lives are at risk.

Second, if he does in fact fly commercial, wouldn't everyone recognize him, and the entire world would know he is going to Manchester United, when, he and the club, have attempted to keep it hush-hush?

I am sure the Glazers and the club has access to private jets through memberships or personal jets so that cost is very rough to begin with. Also I think if we don't get twitter rumors/pics of Pogba in the NYC airport in the next 48 hours we can assume he took a private jet to Manchester if this deal is happening. Otherwise Paul will either be in London joining up with the Juve squad or report back in Turin directly on Sunday. Both of the latter options probably involve Pogba taking a commercial flight unless he shells out the dough for a private by himself.

Within Europe, I'm sure United would've gotten him through a private jet. But I doubt we'd hire a plane for a transatlantic flight. He might fly first class to LHR/MAN. Might get on a helicopter if he lands in London.
