Let's talk about Angel Gomes. (self.reddevils)

So, Angel Gomes, the new academy prospect everyone seems to be drooling about, is he as good as some claim?

I've read that some rate him as the best prospect to ever come out of our academy (!), better than Giggs and Ravel, while some play down him a bit by saying he is "only" the most exciting prospect in our academy right now, the fact I put only in quotation marks says it all.

As for me, by the little I've of him I won't deny he is one great talent, but as great as claimed? I have no fucking idea.

So, those who follow the academy more regularly, what's your opinion of him? Does he really have a shot at making the first team next season like some thing? (Also, to not make a complete fool of myself, he plays as a #10 mostly, right?)

To be fair I meant more about being taken for the inventible tour next summer and perhaps get a carling cup game, of course I didn't mean more than that.

He is not the best to come out of our academy( yet!). Ravel still holds that distinction for me.

No shot at making first team this season. He needs to grow into his body a bit more. I would expect the earliest we would see him in the first team picture is 2019.
