I said the same thing when Subreddit Drama started going on like this - this kind of "golden mean, rein in the circlejerk, make fun of everyone equally" culture you're hoping to build is the definition of futile. Every sub that is even remotely concerned with ideology is a circlejerk. Every single one. Whether they're designed that way or not. It is a natural, unstoppable force.

Why? Because at the end of the day, everyone wants a safe space. Even those people who mock the idea of "safe spaces" do it from their safe spaces, they just don't call them that. Everyone is the same, or else you'd invite Jehovas Witnesses into your home every time they knock. People find it tiring to have to interact with people whose ideology they hate, day in day out, everywhere they go. When people like Antonio come here, they come here to fight, because fighting is occasionally fun, but they'll scurry back. They'll always scurry back. They don't want to be here. Not unless the culture flips alt-right.

The point of this sub was always, in theory, neutral, that you get outrage from the right and the left, but that's futile to enforce. It will be a circlejerk, just like every other sub on reddit. It will be a circlejerk for one ideology or the other. You can't stop it. You can't stop the weather.
