I agree. This story along with the Khan debacle (he took that bait like a chump) really disappoint me. There were a hundred better ways to have handled these situations.

In regards to the Khan situation, all he had to do was issue a statement saying that their kid was an American hero and never talk about it again. Instead, in typical Trump fashion, he decided to dig himself a hole because once he takes something personally he just can't let it go.

Like Barcweed said, he took the bait like a fucking chump.

The baby thing doesn't really bother me. No idea why mommy is bringing her baby to a political rally in the first place.

This submission is less about politics and more about Reddit. Trump acted exactly like everyone on Reddit wants to act and they hate him for it. After 3 years on Reddit, I've seen comments with thousands of upvotes saying things like "Yea a mom brought her crying baby onto an airplane so I punched her face." This site loves violent or rude reactions to minor annoyances. If someone learned how to interact with society solely from Reddit, they would act just like Trump. But they don't have the self awareness to get that.

If someone posted a meme that they went to a Bernie rally and a baby started crying, /r/adviceanimals would be filled with brave redditers saying they would have removed the baby themselves to not interrupt the great leader.
