Battle dome was one of my favorite games until I started up playing Quivr. I really hope, battle dome dev starts putting in a lot of work again and it starts to take off again!

The team of Phenom Games attended China Joy in Shanghai this week and we had great success as the premier multiplayer VR game in China. We uploaded some photos and a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8NvOIYCE1k from the event.

We are a small team of longtime friends and ex professional gamers(cs/wc3) who have been working really hard trying to create a fun and lasting archery PvP/Solo/Co-Op experience. We want to be known as not only a fun casual game but the premier competitive game on the HTC Vive.

Most of us have been members of this subreddit and have been lurking since the beginning. We planned to release this game much sooner but after reading a lot of feedback from people here we decided to improve and change a lot of things. We didn’t want to release another game that felt like a 2 week project money grab with placement art assets.

Although some wave games are extremely fun(Quivr), we wanted to try to step outside the box and think of a way to have single player/co-op without a wave system.

QuiVR is definitely good. I also recommend it. One of the best games out there right now, solid co-op, and good bow mechanics.

PvP is where it's at!

By "ground based", I'm guessing that you mean non-teleport around on platforms? Ya... we experimented with that a lot, and you are right - left/right turning with a button doesn't seem so great. Right now we're pretty focused on making this version of the game amazing, so we don't have plans for a traditional walk around style game. We're still a pretty small team, need to stay focused.

We suck at making videos and threw this together a little too quickly, but we're heading to Chinajoy in Shanghai to exhibit and we wanted reddit to be the first place to see the game.

Hopefully we can have something a bit more polished in a couple weeks that shows off what's unique about this game better. Thanks for the feedback and support!

We're just using standard ue4. it look a lot of work to get the game looking great and running great. We're using 1 directional light and baking everything else, most post effects are turned off. Strict on LOD with objects in the distance. Things that got us before were trees with lots of leaves (the transparency kills you) and lots of shadow casters. All of our models are actually quite detailed and textures aren't small, we just don't have that much going on in the scene, so much of it is batched and optimized. You can always post a quick video capture on the vive forum here and we can take a quick look at it.

There is 2 completely different modes. The PvP mode where there are no NPCs, and a single player time trial which has NPCs and crystals racing for high score. These are entirely different maps.
