Three bodies were discovered Monday evening in the wreckage of a mangled white pickup, 900 feet down a hill off Angeles Crest Highway, during a search for three missing Fontana-area teenagers. A Los Angeles County sheriff’s helicopter spotted the truck in a deep ravine; authorities were combing the vast Angeles National Forest after reports that the teens were traveling to Mt. Wilson when they disappeared. California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said the truck was discovered about 5:20 p.m. The bodies were not expected to be formally identified until at least Tuesday morning, when the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said they would be pulled from the wreckage and sent to the morgue for examination.
