Watching United - Amsterdam (self.reddevils)

Hello any Dutch or Amsterdam-based reddevils! I am in the lovely city of Amsterdam for the first weekend of the league this year and just wanted to ask for some advice - where can I go to watch the football? And what games will be on TV that weekend as I'm guessing it's different to the UK?

Ziggo Sport will broadcast PL games this year unlike previous years where Fox Sports broadcast them. I am not from Amsterdam so I can't help you with pubs that broadcast games, sorry. Best luck would be finding an english pub I think. You can also watch the games on a stream that will popup before the game starts.

I think it's going to be hard to find a bar showing United's match since the Eredivisie is already starting this weekend.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll probably go for a wander the day beforehand and see if I can scout somewhere out that might show the English games then.

Just go to "Rembrandtplein" or "Leidseplein". Loads of bars that show all PL games. There isn't really a "United" cafe that I know off.

I'm staying right round the corner from the Rembrandtplein so that'll be a good option, cheers.

O'donnels at Heineken square usually shows pl matches and most of the time it's Man United.

Heineken square isn't far off Rembrandt square, it's a 10 min walk.

Keep a eye out for this place. Anytime i felt like going out to watch the match, they showed Utd on the big screens.

Be sure to be on time, it's packed on weekends.
