Hello,
so I had a thinking way before all this Pogba saga got concrete.
As all of you know, Pogba is currently in the U.S.A. and not only in one part of the U.S.A., he is nearly everywhere. So my thought was kinda when the United Tour started. As we know, Man Utd went to China and Pogba is in the U.S.A. and both of them are highly advertising themselfes. So after this "blah blah blah" campaign I was sure of my thoughts. Pogba is probably building his name (and Uniteds name) up in the U.S.A. while United did the same in China (and Asia). Even though many famous clubs are currently visiting the U.S.A., the most spoken topic is Pogba. Everyone is talking about him, no one ever mentioned the other big clubs in the U.S.A.. It is like Ed Woodward already planned it all out. While United where in Asia, they were also (in presence of Pogba) in America. This all seems to fishy to be not planned by Ed Woodward, I mean, why would Pogba participate in the Adidas "blah blah blah" campaign in the first place?
Sorry for my bad english and feel free to discuss my thoughts. I know this seems far fetched, but guys, Ed Woodward has Cup Noodles advertisment, so why not bigger advertisment while the player has not even signed.
Thanks for reading!
TL;DR: Pogba is for advertising purposes in the U.S.A. and United has the biggest presence in the west and the east part of the world.
