Those little girls didn't start the war. The fascist Nazi regime did, and many Germans supported it initially, and I don't feel much compassion for those either. But many other Germans didn't support the Nazis and were just as much victims of a brutal authoritarian regime as your family members. That is an undeniable fact of history. If you can't feel compassion for those Germans because you put blame on them for their nationality I feel sorry for your immaturity. Your dead family members would likely be disappointed in you that their deaths didn't make you care enough to examine this time period more closely. I won't dabble with your negativity anymore. You're overthinking this. The reason there was war, was because the parents of these girls started it. Period.
