Poor first half with no pressure, intensity, pressing and just overall lethargic it seems. Quite expected since Schneiderlin, Ibrahimovic, Rooney and Martial were all playing for the first time and barely had much training (ok Rooney has had this but he's generally a slower starter anyway so him looking off was also expected).

Brought the overall energy of the game down a whole lot and it really reminded me of LVG's football where the opposition dominated the ball and us just sitting there, trying to figure something out.

Shaw looks rustier than I'd have hoped with his passing and overall game but he's been out of football for so long, so it goes in line with what Mourinho said too I suppose.

Second half it showed that the team had more fitness, drive, desire, cohesion and pressure too as we pressured/pressed and really played football with intensity and purpose. Even Rooney looked more mobile in the team as a result so that's good too.

Our defending needs to be sorted still I'd say. More fitness and cohesion needed along with intensity we have seen from the second half of two games.

Still a lot of work left clearly.
