Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as separate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

Kante for Chelsea is a fantastic buy. Everyone else...meh.

Been hilariously underwhelmed by Liverpool's window. When they got Klopp i was genuinely scared for the talent he would bring in when he makes his own team. Wjinaldum for 20m? Klavan? Matip? Mane? Hardly world beaters.

I think it's just the effects of an lvg united. We made average players and average teams look world class so when someone with a bit of speed and skill comes up I immediately anticipate them carving us to pieces. I'm hoping it's just an irrational fear that will go away once we get a game or two in under mou. My heart can't take another season of games decided by how godlike ddg can play

Xhaka can do brilliantly at Arsenal and if City get Sané then that's a huge coup. And of course Kante to Chelsea

City:If City get the Stones and Sane transfers wrapped up, then that's a pretty damn good window imo. Gundogan, Nolito, Stones, and Sane are great additions throughout the squad who also help to make the team younger at the same time.

Chelsea: Also done some nice business so far with Kante and Batshuayi (supposedly at least in the second case, haven't seen much of him tbh). If they manage to land a class CB like there's been rumours about then that's a solid window.

Liverpool:...meh. Mane and Wjinaldum aren't awful pickups just uninspired. Mane can be ridiculously unplayable some games and ridiculously anonymous the next.Though, improving on Mignolet was a necessity that they took care of unfortunately.

Arsenal: Xhaka is a good pickup and adds some more substance to their midfield. Don't know much about the other two they've signed and doesn't seem like they'll be seeing significant minutes. Perhaps they'll actually sign a Striker this window, but most likely they'll go in with the golden duo of Giroud and Walcott. Again. And be let down. Again. Consistently top 4 though right? Right...?

If rumours are to be believed Chelsea might lose Costa, Pedro and Matic, granted they will replace them.

IMO though even if they get Koulibaly they've a shaky backline with Ivanovic and Cahill, Midfield is solid, We'll see how Willian does but he's not Amazing he's more of a workhorse than a brilliant player and Batshuayi is raw and unproven in the PL not to mention Lukaku is a downgrade on Costa. THAT said that's all worst case scenario but we'll see.

I hope the rumors are true about Fabinho he looks very tidy. I wouldn't mind us going for a more experienced older CB to back up Smalling and give our back line a bit of leadership. Fonte would be interesting PL experience and a great performer for Southampton, I would love to see Bonucci but that's never going to happen.
