Alright folks. I think by now the sub figured out that this update and the loss of PV is a disaster isn't the best ever, but please refrain from posting more Niantic-bashing posts.

They're clogging /new and preventing other legitimate questions and discussions from getting attention they deserve.

DO REMEMBER THAT THIS UPDATE ALSO BRINGS SOME CHANGES. I WOULD SUGGEST FOR YOU TO LOOK THEM UP AS WELL INSTEAD OF REPOSTING RANTS IN THE FRONT PAGE AND CREATING UNNECESSARY SALT.

I dont think the pokemon are even in order anymore saw a spearow in my 6th slot for nearby then one popped up next to me, caught it, then after the catch i checked nearby again and it was gone so pretty sure the order is just trivial now

I also like how something helping the active community get out there and find pokemon gets nerfed and shutdown however I can go to twitch and check the top 20 Pokemon go streamers, of which about 17 of them are blatantly using a GPS spoofer and web app to play the game from their PC. Yeah that's great.

Please remember to (re)rate Pokemon Go on the app store. They may not listen to us, but that is one area that is usually cared about, especially management.

Just like every other Google startup, they are more than likely restrained from interacting with these sorts of communities for legal reasons. However I would be surprised if, of all of the employees in Niantic, none of them reliably visit the sub Reddit dedicated to their creation.

A big issue i have with them at the moment is their 0 effort to engage with their massive community they build over night. They can't even post updates when the god damn server goes down.

It's certainly helpful. Riot and Wizards of the Coast have relations with their subreddits, and there's some player feedback that they take. (Obviously with a grain of salt.)

There are over 38k people on here, where else has a big chunk of the community? Obviously im not saying they need to immediately implement any change someone says on here, but it seems like they are ignoring the community completley. They SHOULD be reading stuff on here, and other places, that their fans are posting and taking to feedback to improve the game. Has nothing to do with this being reddit, a large amount of people just happen to be here.

To be fair, they did have some interviews although they couldn't seem to spare 30 minutes for this subreddit.

I find it really hard to believe that NOBODY that works at niantic knows about reddit, ever goes on the site or knows this sub exists at all. Even a random employee or two glancing at it might end up making it visible to them on some level. They are also partnered with some big companies and a really big IP, this isn't just their baby like Ingress.

This is 2016, companies tend to become aware of negative press over the internet pretty quickly. Reddit is just one of those outlets.

Also, request a refund from itunes or the app store if you're fed up and quitting like me. That's another good way to send a message.

Send an e-mail to Niantic, respond to Google Play with them being unresponsive to e-mails and other communication. You can also get them on the phone to pressure them further. If you press them, there's a good chance they will end up refunding.

Just be sure you're fed up enough to go nuclear because if you do get a refund there's a decent chance you may end up banned at some point, even if nobody has reported being banned for refunds yet (spoofers and shit aren't even full banned yet but I'd bet money it's all coming at some point).
